President Papadopoulos to Attend UN General Assembly

H.E. the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Tassos Papadopoulos, will visit New York from 23-27 September to attend the 58^th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Foreign Minister Mr. George Iacovou will accompany President Papadopoulos.

During his stay, the President will hold a series of important meetings including a meeting with the UN Secretary General Mr. Kofi Annan and with the Five Permanent Members of the Security Council. He will also have a series of bilateral meetings with Heads of State who will be present at the UN General Assembly. Furthermore, the President will have contacts with the American and International press and with members of the Greek American Community. 

President Papadopoulos will address the General Assembly on 25 September at approximately 11.00 a.m. and will give a Press Conference at 11.30 a.m. in Room 226.
